Season dates

How registration works

1. Open the Khayem service on the Southern Governorate app (Aljunobya).
2. Register when the season opens and choose your site in an approved zone.
3. Pay any required deposit and complete the steps the app asks for.
4. Display your permit on the camp gate.

Who can register

Under the 2025–26 rules, the person registering must be a Bahraini citizen aged 21 or over. Residents and visitors from the GCC usually enjoy the season by visiting or renting a licensed camp.

Renting a camp: licensed camps only

Rental and commercial camps need a Southern Municipality licence and must coordinate with the Governorate before the season. Renting out a camp registered as a family camp is not allowed. Before you pay a deposit, ask the owner for the licence and the approved camp name. On FALY, every rental camp is checked before it is listed — see them on the camp map.

Main rules to know

• Camp only inside the official zones.
• No drones and no fireworks.
• Quad bikes stop at 5 pm.
• No permanent brick or cement structures.
• Keep a fire extinguisher and first-aid kit in the camp.
• Camp names and public events need approval from the Camping Services Centre.
